Half Way to a Thousand Kisses
The other day, my dear
I taped together millions of broken seconds
Homeless moments in our past
I closed my eyes and began taping
One after another
Images began to form
Us, staring at each other, smiling
Images of our confesses
When we were half way to a thousand kisses
These days, my dear
When we look at each other
For what seems to be a broken second
Our eyes tell our story
They tell it in their own alienated language
One we might never hear
They remember our days
Our lips
Desires
Thoughts
Jumbled Clothes
And my body, sweating over yours
They remember, as we forget
And there you are, a broken image
Lost in a man's world
And here I am, taping together old, broken seconds
Half way to a thousand kisses
I taped together millions of broken seconds
Homeless moments in our past
I closed my eyes and began taping
One after another
Images began to form
Us, staring at each other, smiling
Images of our confesses
When we were half way to a thousand kisses
These days, my dear
When we look at each other
For what seems to be a broken second
Our eyes tell our story
They tell it in their own alienated language
One we might never hear
They remember our days
Our lips
Desires
Thoughts
Jumbled Clothes
And my body, sweating over yours
They remember, as we forget
And there you are, a broken image
Lost in a man's world
And here I am, taping together old, broken seconds
Half way to a thousand kisses
